Sit back and enjoy the changing landscapes as you make your way to this important historical and religious site.

Visit the Preah Ang Thom Monastery
10:30 AM – Arrive at Kulen Mountain National Park entrance
Upon arrival, you will visit the Preah Ang Thom Monastery, an active Buddhist monastery located atop Kulen Mountain. The highlight here is the 16th century reclining Buddha statue, which is carved directly into the sandstone cliff face. You can explore the monastery grounds, learn about the history and significance of this sacred site, and even have the opportunity to participate in religious activities with the resident monks.

River of a Thousand Lingas
11:45 AM – Walk to the River of a Thousand Lingas
After your visit to the monastery, you will embark on an 800 meter walk down to the famous River of a Thousand Lingas. This river bed is intricately carved with thousands of lingam (phallic-shaped) carvings dating back to the 9th century Khmer empire. Take time to wander along the river and admire these incredible ancient carvings.

Enjoy Swiming at Waterfall
1:00 PM – Visit Kulen Waterfall
No trip to Kulen Mountain is complete without seeing the stunning 25-meter high Kulen Waterfall. You’ll have the opportunity to swim in the refreshing waters or simply relax and take in the scenery. For a more adventurous experience, you could choose to spend 1-2 hours exploring the waterfall area.
2:30 PM – Begin the return journey to Siem Reap
After your fulfilling day exploring the historical and natural wonders of Kulen Mountain, you’ll begin the 1.5 hour drive back to your hotel in Siem Reap.
